Studio Terms & Conditions

The Cam Den Pilates studio reserves the right to substitute teachers if required for sickness or holiday and to cancel if only two or less clients are attending the class.

Clients are advised to not use their phones during class and put them on silent.

Clients are required to follow the instructions of the teacher at all times and clients are not allowed to use any of the Studio’s equipment unsupervised and outside the sessions.

Clients aged 16 - 17 years and over can join classes if a waiver is signed by a parent/guardian consent and also the pilates teacher’s consent.

Personal Belongings Shoes Personal belongings can be placed in allocated area in reception. Personal belongings are brought onto the studio premises at the client’s own risk. The Cam Den Pilates studio does not accept liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such items.

Session Times

Details of session times at the Studio may vary from time to time. Session times will be available either at the studio or at www.thecamdenpilates.co.uk.

 Lateness

The Cam Den Pilates Studio will not permit clients to take part in a session if you are more than 10 minutes late, unless otherwise consented by the teacher of the session. This policy is in place to prevent injury and to be mindful of the teacher and other participants in the session.

 Dress Code

Clients are requested to wear suitable clothing/dress appropriate to the practice of Pilates. Clients are advised not to wear jewellery or clothing with zips on in case of damage to mats/equipment .

Clients are asked to attend sessions barefoot or, with socks, preferably grippy socks.

 Safety & Hygiene

In the interests of safety and hygiene, only water is permitted in the studio. No chewing gum, food, sugary or fizzy drinks near studio apparatus.

Other than the exception of guide dogs, no pets are permitted in the studio spaces. 

Only clients can enter the Studio for their class/session - 5/10 minutes before it starts.

Sorry but friends/family of clients are not permitted in the Studio and have to wait outside.

In the interest of everyone’s cleanliness and hygiene, please use provided paper towels and mild detergent to wipe down your equipment after use. 

Fitness and Health

We want to ensure the very best care when in the studio, therefore please inform your instructor of any injuries or recent illness at the beginning of your class.

By signing up for and/or attending sessions or events using the studio and equipment, clients confirm that they have no health problems which may affect their participation.

By attending the studio, you declare that all and/or any exercises prescribed or administered to you are undertaken at your own risk. You will not hold The Cam Den Pilates Studios or any of its staff responsible for injuries, which may arise.

It is the client’s responsibility to notify The Cam Den Pilates Studio before attending any session of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continued use of the studio and/or which may have arisen or worsened since their last session at the studio (if any).

Clients with low/high blood pressure and/or cardiac irregularities should not attend class. If there is any doubt, the client should consult their doctor prior to attending a session.

The Cam Den Pilates Studio reserves the right to refuse access to any client if, at its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of studio facilities.

Clients who suffer an accident or injury on The Cam Den Pilates Studio premises must report the accident or injury and the circumstances in which it occurred immediately following the accident or injury to a staff member at the studio.

If you have a verruca or similar foot complaint you must wear socks in the studio.

Clients who are pregnant or immediately following pregnancy will be able to participate in the sessions, subject to advice or consent from their doctor. These clients understand that their level of participation in sessions and which exercise to perform must be determined by themselves, in consultation with their physician, and that The Cam Den Pilates Studio teachers or staff are not responsible for the intensity of their participation. These clients should stop all activity immediately if they feel any discomfort. Upon experiencing any discomfort at any time, either during or after class, the user/client/member shall immediately contact their treating physician/GP/Midwife to inform them and seek advice.

Clients who are pregnant, or immediately following pregnancy, understand that the teachers at The Cam Den Pilates Studio are not physicians, nurses, or emergency medical technicians. By making exercise classes available, the teachers and the business are not undertaking any responsibility regarding the clients’ medical condition(s).

Clients who participate in any exercise program while pregnant, or immediately following pregnancy, may increase the risk of injury to themselves and, if applicable, to their unborn child. Clients hereby personally accept any and all risks associated with participating in sessions at The Cam Den Pilates Studio.

Liability Waiver

Furthermore, you discharge the studio and its staff from all claims, or liabilities, injuries, loss or damage to your person and/or property, including those arising out of, or connected with your participation in any activities, programs or services of The Cam Den Pilates Studio including claims or liabilities caused or contributed to by the negligence of the studio or its staff. You have also been informed, understand, and are aware that activities including the use of equipment are potentially hazardous activities and may involve a risk of injury, including a remote risk of death or serious disability and that you are voluntarily participating in these activities with full knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the dangers involved and on the basis that it is your responsibility to seek medical advice as to the suitability of such exercise for you having regard to your age, level of fitness and overall health.

Code of Behaviour

Respectful behaviour is expected at all times. Abusive language or behaviour towards staff, other clients or the Studio and equipment will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to terminate a membership/account where we see fit.

We reserve the right to expel you from the studio or suspend you if you seriously or repeatedly break the conditions of this agreement or do not pay sums owing to us on or before due date. If we expel you, you will cease to be a client of The Cam Den Pilates studio and all your unused and booked sessions will be forfeited.

Bookings

In the event of The Cam Den Pilates Studio cancelling a service, clients will be credited back to their account.

Sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Group classes/sessions are sold in single units or blocks. The Client shall not transfer sessions to any other person or permit them to be used by anyone other than the Client.

All classes/sessions must be paid for in advance.

Payment is made securely via MindBody . We do not accept cheque or cash.

A client may use the waitlist facility at thecamdenpilates.co.uk if a place is not available in a session. If a client joins the waitlist for a particular session and becomes automatically enrolled, their booking will be subject to the Terms and Conditions in the usual way. Clients can book or reschedule sessions for themselves via the website: www.thecamdenpilates.co.uk, MindBody app, phone or email. Clients will receive confirmation of their booking via email.

Purchase Policy By clicking "Place Order" or “Book Class” you confirm you have read, accepted and agree to all our terms and conditions.

Cancellations & Refunds

All The Cam Den Pilates Studio classes are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy. Clients will be charged for a session where cancellation or the rescheduling of a session is not made online or notice of the same is not delivered in studio or email at least 24 hours prior to the booked time for a session.

The rights of cancellation and refund and any limitation expressed in these terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Refunds in relation to Products or Services may only be credited to the credit or debit card originally used to make the purchase.
