The 3 main differences between the levels of pilates classes are:
Knowledge of equipment
Exercise and transition
experience
Pace of the class
Beginner
You’ll be taught correct reformer technique and alignment so you can get the most from your pilates workout; how to master the pilates equipment and perform the exercises and transitions correctly.Your instructor will give you feedback on your position and alignment and let you know when to make adjustments. (50 min)
Open Level
Our Open Level Pilates class is just that - for all levels & abilities. This class offers a well-rounded workout focusing on core strength, stability and alignment. Newbies will receive detailed clear instructions on correct alignment, breathing techniques, and the basic Pilates principles to aid them in establishing a strong foundation. The pilates teacher will provide modifications and gentle progressions. This class is also suitable for experienced participants - who will have the option of performing a more challenging variation of the exercises and all will be able to develop & refine their technique. (50 min)
Intermediate
Intermediate classes move faster. They require you to keep up with the faster pace with less instruction and increased effort & control. Have greater knowledge of exercises, be able to stay in alignment, transition independently and be able to manage your equipment and change your own springs if needed. (50 min)
Advanced
Consolidation of all previous reformer work leads to the "A” Class. Advanced, more intense & highly functional exercises, pushing you harder and further. Participants should have a high fitness level and have been using reformers for 3 months+.You’ll need advanced flexibility, core strength, endurance and technical capability. (50 min)
